I'm ONE!!!

Can you believe a year has passed already since our little Emery was born.  Time sure has flown and she has grown into a very sweet girl.  She loves giving hugs and kisses, and her smile and giggles melt our hearts. 

We had a great celebration for Em this past weekend, surrounded by friends and family.  Emery got to dive into a chocolate cupcake, and she seemed to like it!  She was blessed with lots of great new toys and fun new outfits for the winter. 

We love you cupcake and look forward to what the next year brings!

Swimming

Emery and Mom have joined a swimming class together on Friday's.  This last week Daddy was off work, so he came along to watch Emery and her new discoveries in the pool. 

This was the second week, and in just two short sessions Emery is now going under the water fully.  Only for a very short stint, but she has caught on to closing her mouth and holding her breath really fast.

So HAPPY she loves the water!



Having lots of FUN!

We have had to try and bring new adventures and ideas to our day to keep Emery occupied, laughing, and smiling.  Has been great watching her take to the new things, and understand what you mean when you tell her to go get a certain toy and she does it knowing what you are talking about.  She is a smart cookie!

Emery is now exploring everything she can get her hands on.  She is like a shadow that follows you around the house.  It is fun having her mobile, but lots of work!  Here's some fun photos from recent

Crawling!

Emery woke up last Monday morning (8.6.12) and decided she was going to crawl.  Sunday she wasn't even trying to move, so this sure shocked me to see her out of the corner of my eye take two crawl movements to get a toy! 

I continued to watch her all day, trying to get a video of her so we could show daddy.  Finally she gave me this!

I was so proud of her, and now she is into everything.  If you tell her no, she looks back at you, smirks, and laughs and continues to do it.  Let's say we have some baby proofing to do yet in our house!

Fun with Friends

Once a month, us girls try and get together for some mommy and baby time together.  We rotate through houses and have some wine and good needed laughs together.  This past time at Chelsea's we tried to get a picture of all the kids, so here goes!

Zoo

Emery and I adventured to the Madison Zoo recently when it finally wasn't so hot out. She was able to spot the larger animals when they were moving, but not many animals were out.  Little bummed!

She loved the tiger, as it just paced back and forth in front of us, and she watched so intently.  Look at that face of confusion.  She also enjoyed the arangatangs, but was hard to get a picture because of carrying her with me.  Overall it was a fun time together.  We then stopped by Dad's work to visit and he showed Em off.  A fun Friday in our books!
