Merry Christmas from Emery!

Merry Christmas!

This year was extra special having our little one with us for the holidays.  She was able to share in our traditions and enjoy the comfort of family during this special time of year.  It was a busy few days and Emery got to "play up late" as Brooks would call it.  Three days worth of Christmas celebrations was fun by exhausting....for all of us!

Friday night included Christmas with Grandma & Grandpa Nehmer, Aunt Casey, Uncle Matt, Brooks, Brody, Uncle Luc, and Katy.  We had a special visitor....SANTA!  Santa came to visit Brooks, Brody, and Emery as they were all such good kids this past year.  Here is a few pictures to share:

Saturday then we adventured out to Columbus to Great Grandma Nehmer & Joe's place for the annual Nehmer side Christmas extravaganza.  It was another fun night, as it always is with the Nehmer's.  We had to get Emery all dressed up for her first Christmas Eve at the Farm.  I must say she was the hit of the party! ;)

Sunday was Christmas Day, and after sleeping in a bit, we were back to my parents house for a day with the Clary side.  We played games and had some good food.  Emery got some books from Great Grandma Clary.  We hung out through the Packer Game, and Emery got to meet Miki & Louie Krenzen for the first time.  She enjoyed them so much she fell asleep ;)

After the last of three late nights we were grateful for Monday off work and a day to recoup.  The day was spent cleaning and relaxing getting ready for another busy week.  Was a great holidays, and we look forward to many many more as a family, and including the Freischmidt family in our celebrations too.

3 Months Old!

Our little sweetie turned 3 months on December 15th...and as tradition has been we took her picture in the laundry basket.  She sure is filling the basket out and by next month we may have to sit her up in it because she doesn't care to lay down in there much anymore....as you can tell by her face I am sure.  Will be back to the doctor around her 4 months so we will report her stats at that time, but she is still growing like a weed!

Had to add this one as it was just too cute!  She is getting very good at sitting in her bumpo chair, and watching us!  We love you sweetie! :)

Snuggle Time

A quick photo of mommy's favorite time of the day....snuggle time! :)
Mommy loves you more than you will ever know!

3 Months already!

Happy 3 Months Cutie Pie!

Cannot believe you are already 3 months old, your personality is growing right in front of our eyes.  Your little giggles make our heart melt.  Grandma N dressed you up for the occasion...first time in jeans and you loo ADORABLE!

Grandma N & Aunt Casey....THANK YOU!

Emery has been having some great quality time with Aunt Casey..(and those crazy cousins), and Grandma N.  They are both graciously sharing the duties of watching our little one while we are at work for the month of December.  Mom can somewhat relax with her being with family while she is away.  Tim and I cannot thank you enough for the love you show Emery, when we are not there to snuggle her.  Here are a few pictures from her time with them.

Mommy can never get enough of those cheeks and smiles.  You make mommy smile every day and appreciate all the snuggles.

Mommy's Birthday

We celebrated Mommy's birthday this past Friday at home with family.  Was a great relaxing night!

Saturday we celebrated cousin Brooks turning 4 at the Little Gym.  Emery got to watch all the kids run around and play.  She will enjoy the little gym someday when she gets bigger!  Brooks had a great day filled with Thomas the Train and Cars 2 gifts.  He was on cloud nine!

Girls Night...plus Isaac!

As our usual tradition, we did our secret santa exchange at our house this year.  The girls brought the kids along too, with two still yet to be born.  Isaac, Emery, and Bryn were the excitement of the party this year, and next year we will have Addison, and Baby Boy Smith to the clan!  Check out the size difference between all three!

We enjoyed our time together as we always share many laughs and stories.  Here's to another great year of being friends! :)

Go Bucky!

The badger football team played in the first Big 10 championship game this past Saturday against Michigan State.  The winner was going to the ROSE BOWL!  We had Matt, Casey, and the boys over for dinner and to watch the game, and boy was it eventful!  We had to dress Emery up for the occasion and to cheer on the BADGERS!

Isn't she a cutie!

Thanks Uncle Luc and Katy for the adorable outfit!

The Stockings are hung by the Chimney with Care...

Emery's Christmas stocking arrived in the mail today, and I was excited to get it up on the mantle with mine and Tim's.  Emery was too big to try and put her in it to take a picture, so I guess beside it will have to do. I even caught a good smile! :)

Our mantle is now complete...we are officially a family of 3!

Going back to work...

Well my maternity leave came to a close on Sunday, and the dreaded day came to go back to work.  It was a long 5 hours at work the first day, and I missed her terribly.  Every time I looked at a picture of her on my desk it just brought tears to my eyes.  Mommy misses you Emery ever second I am away.  Thank you, THANK YOU, THANK YOU to Aunt Casey for watching our little pumpkin this week.  We greatly appreciate the help, and knowing she is in great hands with you watching over her.  All the pictures are great...keep them coming! :)

Our First Christmas Tree as a Family of Three

After a few hours spent away with the girls shopping the day after Thanksgiving...we adventured out to cut down our Christmas Tree.  As our tradition is, we go out to The Paint Farm in Poynette with Matt, Casey, and the boys.

We walked through the field of trees and found the one we liked.  Of course we had to pose for a family picture! :)

We spent the last day of my maternity leave decorating the tree.  Emery watched mom decorate it and then we were able to snap a few pictures of Em in front of the tree.  We look forward to celebrating our first FAMILY Christmas in 2011 very soon.

Happy Turkey Day!

We have a lot to be THANKFUL for this year, as a sweet little girl has come into our life and brought SO much joy and happiness to us.  Tim and I couldn't be more smitten with our little TURKEY!  We hope you had a great Thanksgiving too!

Gobble Gobble!

Cousins!

Brody has been wanting to hold Emery, especially when he sees Casey holding her.  He will go up to her with his arms out and then go sit down on the sofa waiting.  If you don't come fast enough with Emery, he will let you know.  We caught a cute photo of the two cousins!

Visit with Great Grandma Clary

Casey and I adventured over with the kiddos to visit GG Clary.  I think the kids wore her out, but she was glad we came by.  GG with all her Great Grandchildren!

Smiles :)

Emery has been smiling a lot and making noises, so I thought I would share a few I caught on film.  These little things sure can make my day!

Blowing bubbles and drooling is her new thing

2 Months Old!

Can you believe it...two months have passed already!

Emery went in for her two month check up appointment, and the nurses didn't even recognize her.  The two of them fight over who gets Emery's appointments.  Unfortunately she was due for some additional shots today so Mom was quite nervous. She did well, but her face got bright read and then she let out some of the loudest screams I have heard from her.  Dad might have to go the next time!

She is a healthy girl weighing in at 14 pounds 2 ounces, and 24.25 inches long.

Meeting our new friend Bryn

My longtime childhood friend had her baby girl on Sunday November 13th, and we couldn't have been more excited.  Emery and I made a trip to Meriter to visit Erin, Brandon, and new daughter Bryn Harper Hommowun.  She was such a little peanut.  I thought Emery had a good amount of hair when she was born, but Bryn has much more.

Look at what a 2 month difference can make!

Hopefully Bryn will grow just as much as Emery has in the next 2 months.  I cannot wait to watch these two grow up together just as Erin and I did.  Great longtime friends are hard to find, so hold on tight girls!

We cannot wait for the arrival of the next ones...Baby Girl Febus in December, and then Baby ? Smith in April!

Aunt Kristen and Eric Visit Wisconsin

Aunt Kristen and Eric made their way up for a visit from Florida and Georgia.  It snowed for the first time of the year the day they arrived.  We got the pleasure of having them stay with us for a long weekend and experience some of what WI has to offer...along with meeting Emery! :)

She was one tired babe!

Saturday night Aunt Casey came to watch Em, so that us adults could get out for a while, and show Eric downtown Madison.  It is always hard for mom to be away, but we snuck in some smiles and laughs as I knew she was in good hands!

Sunday we adventured down to the New Glarus Brewery, with Emery in tow.  She did well just looking around while we toured, and then it was her turn to eat as we sampled some beer.

Thanks for visiting, we enjoyed every day. Look forward to you visiting again...hopefully in the summer next time! :)  Emery sends hugs and kisses!

Another Fun Packer Sunday

The Ohmen's hosted the Packer Party recently and Emery got to hang out and get snuggled, while mom and dad relaxed for a bit.

Fun with Casey and the Boys

The men were gone woodcutting, so Casey, Brooks, Brody, Emery, and I made a day of it.  We packed up all the kids and headed to McFarland to watch Noah play hockey.  Unfortunately they lost, but Aunt Tina "Won" because she got to hold and spend time with Emery.  Emery enjoyed her first hockey experience, and looks forward to the next, as there will be LOTS more to be had over the years!

We then set off for the Children's Museum, where Brooks and Brody ran rampid everywhere enjoying burning off some steam.  Emery slept through the museum, snuggling on mom.

After leaving the Museum, Brooks was asking for Ice Cream...so Aunt Abby treated him and Brody to chocolate Milk Shakes with whip cream and sprinkles on top.  They are lucky boys to have such a nice aunt! :) We all hung out back at our house and the boys played, Aunt Casey got some more snuggle time with Em, and then it was off to bed.  Em woke up in a great mood, with a big smile! :)
Here's to hoping you are rested up with the extra hour of sleep with the time change.

Packer Sunday

It was just another Packer Sunday, however this one was spent at the lake.  We had to take advantage of the great weather we were having, so we all went for a walk during half time.  Emery needed to have a picture in front of the blow up Packer.

Emery with Grandpa and Grandma Nehmer

Grandma did a pumpkin hunt with the boys before the game, so they got dressed up in their costumes for the occasion.  They had a great time.  Uncle Luc held Emery during the pumpkin hunt..next year girl you can participate too!

Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween!
Emery's first Halloween was full of neighborhood kids trick-or-treating.  She helped pass out candy with us.

The weekend before Halloween, we visited a local pumpkin patch to get Emery a pumpkin and stopped for our first family picture.  Hope all the kiddos had a great time!

Next year will be fun to dress her up in a costume...will have to start thinking of fun ideas!
