Trying new foods...

With being 4 months now, the doctor gave the "ok" to try some oatmeal and fruits.  I was anxious to give it a try as thought she might like more substance other than just formula.  Mommy and Emery had fun on a Friday night seeing if she liked it or not.  One thing she did like was being in her highchair. :)

First bite of apples...such a sour face!

She didn't want to open her mouth, I had to slip in the spoon and use her gums to get the apples off the spoon.

Onto Oatmeal...

It was all coming right back out!

She was happy that I was done trying for this time, and we resorted back to a bottle for dinner.  Mommy is excited to try again and see if you come to like this.  Having trouble getting it to the back of her mouth to swallow.  Better luck next time! :)



4 months old....

.....And the size of a 6 month old

Emery had her 4 month check up and she is in the 99th percentile for her height and weight at 4 months.  She is the size of a size month old at her 4 month age.  She came in at:

17 Pounds 3 Ounces

27 Inches Long

She is happy and healthy, and loves playing with her toys and snuggling with her blankets.

My new friend....GOOFY!

Emery has loved playing with her stuffed Goofy toy from Grandpa F.  She will hold onto his ears...suck on his nose...but loves snuggling with him.  Thanks Grandpa for such a fun, snugly toy!



My new Toy!

Thanks to some generous gift cards at christmas time, Emery got a fun new toy...and Exersaucer.  This will grow with her as she grows and also turns into a toy table that she can stand up by and play on.  We cannot wait until she discovers all the differnet gadgets it has and what they do.

Our family of friends continues to grow....Welcome Addison!

Kelly planned a girls night at their house recently, and the little ones came in tow.  Addison was welcomed to her first of many get togethers with the kids.  We have one more addition to come in April, and we cannot wait for "Buster" to join in the mix.  He will complete "our family"....for now until the second round of kids come into the picture.

The little ones did great, and us girls enjoyed the conversational topics that usually come up. :)

Baby Talk

Emery loves making noise lately and smiling at us.  Here is just a quick cute video of her from this past week.  She is having an indepth coverstaion with her daddy!

Happy 2012!

New Years Eve brought about Emery's first trip of many to the Kohl Center.  This one was to cheer on the Badger Men's Basketball team against Iowa.  We were hoping Emery would be their good luck charm, however we left without a W.  She enjoyed her first trip, taking in all the action.  Just didn't care for all the cheering, as it would startle her and she would burst into tears.  We enjoyed having her with us, and the next trip with have to be for a Badger Hockey Game!

We then headed to the Ohmen's home for a PJ New Year's Party.  Emery enjoyed watching her crazy cousins, and Kolton run around.  We made it until midnight and then hit the road to get our little cutie to bed!  Picture of the party animals!

Bring on 2012, and all the greatness you will bring our family.  We cannot wait to continue to watch our little one grow and show us many new meanings of life.
